When my husband, Jack Brailsford served a mission in Hawaii for the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints, Gordon's mother deemed herself his "Hawaiian Mother" and he loved her dearly. Jack often spoke of playing with the children and we were able to meet many of the family when we returned for a visit in the 1980's. So sorry to hear of his passing and that of his sister. Jack passed away shortly after Napua's going home and I'm sure there was a wonderful luau waiting for each of them upon arrival in the bright skies of Heaven -- Napua would have it no other way. Love to all the family even though you may not know me -- I know you through Napua's letters and her life. Aloha! Judie Brailsford-Marcucci (

Edi and Napua, I worked at Big Island Marine and became acquainted with Gordon. He was quite an amazing guy with lots of
interesting stories. He also shared his love of the two of you and his pride in you ,Napua and your accomplishments. My wish for
you is the comfort in all the wonderful memories of all your years together. Aloha, Carol Jossy.

Edy, I am so sorry to hear of Gordon's passing. I knew him as a long time customer and friend. I knew you also thru
your work. I worked for myself and also part time with Territorial. He was a good man and will be missed.
Sincerely, Julie Campbell
I will look for news of his memorial.
