Jan was an amazing lady. When we dedicated the bench in her honor at Hoapili Hale, the Second Circuit Court building in Wailuku, Judge Larry Potter called Jan a force of nature. I agree. She was a strong advocate for her community and state and cared deeply for her family and friends. She blessed my life in many ways. I will miss her but her legacy of changing the environment for the better will live on when we continue her work. She will continue to be that force of nature, but we feel her rather than see her by our side. Mahalo Jan!

My condolences to the family. Cecile
